Outer Wilds is a game i consistently return to. It doesn't matter who, doesn't matter what, if i see outer wilds, *especially a breakdown* I watch it. It's a mirror disguised as a game, and its ending and "Moral of the story" can be taken so many ways, to the point that it genuinely feels that; As you complete the game, you feel so much clarity, and when the game finishes, you're left to interpret the ending to what you choose. Everyone had different understandings, but this is what the end taught me; *Do not be afraid.*

God, this movie was terrible. Go watch the 2003 series. (Not the dub, the dub is really bad.) This movie did not treat its source material well. At all. "What do I know"? I've watched through the 80s, 2003, 1963 and manga series. All three dealt with themes of war and antisemitism. Themes Tezuka felt very strongly about. This movie is just a surface-level retelling with its themes changed to be "more palatable" to a general audience. The fact they redesigned the characters to look more like the celebrity voice actors playing them shows you where this movie's priorities were at. They wanted to make the big bucks by "reviving'" and "modernizing" an old IP.

This movie was a bigger disaster than the incident it's based on

Something I really lov3d about the transformations is how different they all are. Sparky is just reincarnated, while the fish turns invisible, the hamster gets mummified, the rat turns into a werewolf, and so on. There isn’t an explanation for it, but it really shows the creativity of the situation and how certain things should nevrr be experimented on.

Inwas a tween when this movie came out so I was old eneough to understand the message. I vaguely remember hating the dad and the town and thinking "why would a dad not be supportive of his own child?" Lo and behold a few years later when my mom had similar narcissistic tendencies and I rewatched the movie as an adult, I fully understood it now. Worst dad ever

If it hasn't already been stated the Beavis and butthead episode is most likely parodying an incident where a child used matches to burn down their house, when questioned the mother blamed a particular episode where beavis and butthead burned something with matches which led to a moral panic over the show "corrupting the youth" the show was breifly taken off the air and the episode in question was banned i believe. Years later it came out that the child had never actually even watched beavis and butthead and never even heard of it, either the mother or the reporters had cooked up the story on their own. The actual story is much less publicized than the lie. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on any points)

Fun fact: we're still in an ice age, so, yes, we're kinda helping speed up the end of it, but if we didn't, it still would end in at least 5 decades

I remember watching this movie for the first time and closing my eyes for the death scene. I was kinda anticipating some horribly gruesome thing at the time... I was pretty little. But then I actually watched the scene a few years later and I thought; Wait- what? He just disappears? -And his hat is still there as well... -You can just validly say Toby's alive, and it might as well be cannon. Like being teleported is somehow out of place in a universe like this. (So yeah, I have *that* as a headcannon now.)

this was a very good movie, i watched it with my family like 30 times and we all loved it (ages from 2~45). i don't remember any scenes except the cockroach pizza. (i don't know if the sound was bad because i watched the Arabic dub).

I adore this movie and the cartoon saloon studio on a whole, and I'm always happy to see discourse about both. Well done indeed! I also noticed a lot of parallels with the characters, almost in a wizard of oz kind of style-- the ferryman has the same design as the memory-haired man in the well. Both are grasping at memories of better days; trying, clumsily as they can, to maintain a semblance of positivity through nostalgia. Connor is Mac Lear, himself becoming an island after failing to control his own grief, leaving his mother (paralleled by Macha) to control him, for better or worse. Macha and the grandmother both manage their feelings with jars, the witch by locking her emotions in the glass, the human by abusing medication. Both Macha and the grandmother regulate the people around them because they don't see others regulating themselves to the "proper" standard. Every time i watch this movie, i get more and more out of it, and I've introduced all my friends to it.

Anyone who has ever had a vivid lucid dream understands the greatness of this movie.

Something of note, the last scene where Charlie says goodbye was actually recorded after Judith had died. Burt Reynolds basically isolated himself in the recording booth for a long time, re-recording Charlie's goodbye because it was his real goodbye to Judith. Makes the scene all that more sad.

Wasn't Alex's inspiration with Zelda because of the gameplay until Skyward Sword? If definitely wasn't because all Zelda games didn't have exploration as a focus. Just the antithese of Skyward Sword itself.

He did ask his parents if its them driving towards them and then he says oh shit. Could it have been a hit and run? Hmmm something to ponder about.

So one night I wike up at 3am on a Saturday or something like that. I fell asleep on the couch and awoke in a stooper and a little hazy and this episode was on. I watched it and was absolutely stunned and this episde stayed with me for a while. It was an out of body experience and I thought about it for months. As a childhood SA survivor myself I really felt some of those scenes. It break my heart this episode is why they canceled the show. There are people out there who need this. It helps to understand your pain is understood and seen by someone and its complex and f"d up but we must talk about it.

That judge who was a heartthrob probably isn’t all that cute anymore. After all, an ugly heart will show on the face.

Evangelion is great, but I didn't vibe with the characters which is why it's not as good of a surface watch.

"Cats don't care about you" either a joke, or the words of someone who's never owned a cat. Always hated how the sequels made it so all cats went to hell.
